I took just a little break from my usual 3D work to play with some 'flat' stuff. Spent a lovely afternoon with Lynne Larkin and friends creating two collages. I so enjoyed, that I came home and made a couple more. Great opportunity to use all those bits of scraps and ephemera that we save.
I created the pieces in pairs, using the same papers in the background and similar elements for ephemera.
Now all framed and ready to hang. Thanx Michael's for having such a great sale just when I needed it. Had lots of frames at home already but I liked these as matching sets.
Morning Song was the first piece created. Love the soft colors which allows the bird to come forward and sing. |
Beauty-flies Who doesn't enjoy seeing a butterfly on wing. But seldom do we get to capture them..polymer gel helps. |
Fleur du SoleilYeah! All this stuff was in my stash. After I found the bird and sunflower print, I created the background with lots of spring greens to complement the centerpiece. |
Gaw-jus!!! Love all of 'em!
ReplyDeleteThanx Patty. Using some of the techniques we learned together. But I think this is really more me than the abstract stuff we did earlier.
