Art Journal Enthusiasts

This is the page that was completed by 8 incredibly talented ladies.
I started it off with a very pale pastel background created with water
soluble crayons and a touch of gesso.
I'm hard pressed to find any of that original background.
We have a small but mighty group of ladies that are exploring art journaling.  Even as a confessed 3D person, I so enjoy the challenge of working on a flat (well mixed media is never totally flat) plane.

We each brought a bag of 'goodies' from our own stash and swapped them blindly.
Then we passed around our prepared background.  Every 15 minutes the page moved around the circle.  Initially that didn't seem like enough time but by the end it was more than enough as the pages became filled with so much beauty.

It was amazing to see how everyone used the materials so differently and creatively. And especially to see how the goodies you contributed were used.

So much fun that we have already decided on a'new twist' of this technique for our next get together.
I created this spread with the stuff that was included in the goodie bag
I received.  Now she is ready for a little more work.
